Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated 30 July 2026. We believe in being open about how Sister Sites UK makes money. This page explains our affiliate relationships and, just as importantly, what they do not affect.
How we earn money
Sister Sites UK is a free-to-read, independent review and information site covering casinos and betting brands licensed by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC). We are not a gambling operator: we do not take bets or hold funds. We keep the lights on through affiliate commission. When you follow certain links on our site to an operator and go on to register or deposit, that operator or an affiliate network may pay us a commission or a share of net revenue. Outbound affiliate links are marked as sponsored so search engines and readers know a commercial relationship exists.
It costs you nothing
Using an affiliate link never costs you a penny more. You pay exactly the same, and receive exactly the same welcome offer, as you would by going to the operator directly. The commission is paid by the operator out of its own marketing budget, not added to your account.
It never affects our rankings or scores
This is the part that matters most. Commercial arrangements have no influence on how we rate or rank a brand. Our review scores and league tables are produced independently, using the fixed criteria published in our rating methodology — things like licensing and safety, fairness of terms, withdrawal speed, game range, and support quality. No operator can pay for a higher score, a better ranking, favourable wording, or the removal of criticism. If a brand we earn commission from has weak terms or slow payouts, we say so. If a brand we earn nothing from is excellent, we rank it accordingly.
Editorial independence
Reviews are written and tested by our named UK editorial team, not by operators or affiliate networks. We test the sign-up, deposit, and withdrawal experience ourselves, check licence status directly with the UKGC, and re-test brands on a schedule. Commercial staff have no say over review content or scores. Where a commercial relationship exists with a reviewed brand, we disclose it clearly. Our full approach is set out in our Editorial Policy, and any mistakes are corrected openly on our corrections page.
Why disclose at all
UK advertising rules — the CAP Code, enforced by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) — treat affiliate content that promotes licensed operators as advertising, and require it to be obviously identifiable and socially responsible. Consumer protection law also requires us to be clear when content is commercial. Disclosing our affiliate relationships is how we meet those standards and keep your trust.
Responsible gambling comes first
We only ever feature brands licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, and our content is intended solely for adults aged 18 or over. We will never tell you gambling is a way to make money, guarantee winnings, or pressure you to sign up. Gambling should be fun and affordable entertainment, and only ever done with money you can comfortably lose.
- 18+ only. It is illegal to gamble under the age of 18.
- Set deposit and time limits, and use operator tools such as self-exclusion and GAMSTOP (gamstop.co.uk) if you need a break.
- Free, confidential help is available 24/7 from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 or at begambleaware.org.

Please gamble responsibly. Gambling should be fun, not a way to make money. When the fun stops, stop.
