Privacy Policy

Last updated 30 July 2026. This policy explains what personal data Sister Sites UK collects when you use this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under UK data protection law.

Who we are

Sister Sites UK ("we", "us", "our") operates this website as an independent information and review service covering casinos and betting brands licensed by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC). We are an affiliate publisher, not a gambling operator: we do not accept bets, hold player funds, or run any form of gambling. For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, Sister Sites UK is the data controller for the personal data described below.

If you have any question about this policy or about how we handle your data, contact us at privacy@sistersitesuk.co.uk.

What personal data we collect

We aim to collect as little personal data as possible. Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

  • Contact data — your name, email address, and message content when you email us or complete a contact or feedback form.
  • Usage and device data — anonymised or pseudonymised analytics such as pages viewed, approximate region, referring site, browser type, and device category. This is collected only where you consent to analytics cookies.
  • Technical data — your IP address and standard server log information, processed for security, fraud prevention, and to keep the site running reliably.
  • Cookie and tracking data — small identifiers stored on your device. See our Cookie Policy for the full breakdown.

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and this website is intended only for adults aged 18 or over. We do not ask for, and you should never send us, special category data (for example health, or data revealing your finances or gambling behaviour).

Lawful bases for processing

Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for each use of your data. We rely on:

  • Consent — for non-essential cookies, analytics, and affiliate-tracking cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie settings link in the site footer.
  • Legitimate interests — to respond to your enquiries, to secure the site against abuse, and to understand aggregate site performance. We balance these interests against your rights and only rely on this basis where it is fair to do so.
  • Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data to comply with the law.

Analytics and cookies

We use privacy-conscious analytics to understand which reviews and guides are useful, and affiliate-tracking cookies to attribute referrals to gambling operators. Analytics and affiliate cookies are only set after you give consent through our cookie banner. Full detail — including the categories, providers, and how to control cookies — is in our Cookie Policy.

Third parties we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with trusted service providers who act on our instructions, including:

  • Website hosting and content-delivery providers.
  • Analytics providers (only where you consent).
  • Affiliate networks and licensed operators, which may receive a click identifier when you follow a tracked outbound link so a referral can be attributed. This is standard affiliate measurement and does not transfer your name or email.

When you click through to a licensed operator, you leave this website and any account you open is governed by that operator's own privacy policy, over which we have no control.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement, so that your data receives an equivalent level of protection.

How long we keep data

  • Contact emails and enquiries — kept for up to 24 months after our last exchange, then deleted.
  • Analytics data — retained in aggregated or pseudonymised form for up to 26 months.
  • Server and security logs — retained for up to 12 months.

We delete or anonymise data once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to: be informed about our processing; access a copy of your data; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data erased; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also object to any direct marketing. To exercise any right, email privacy@sistersitesuk.co.uk. We will respond within one month, and there is normally no charge.

Complaints to the ICO

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please raise it with us first so we can put it right — under rules in force since 2026 we will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and tell you the outcome. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the law or our practices. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
